Not to eat anything that creeps on the earth
שלא לאכול רמש הארץ
The verse · Vayikra 11:44
כִּי אֲנִי ה׳ אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וְהִתְקַדִּשְׁתֶּם וִהְיִיתֶם קְדֹשִׁים כִּי קָדוֹשׁ אָנִי וְלֹא תְטַמְּאוּ אֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם בְּכׇל־הַשֶּׁרֶץ הָרֹמֵשׂ עַל־הָאָרֶץ
“For I am the Lord your God: you shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall you defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
The Rambam’s words
Not to eat anything that creeps on the earth, as [Leviticus 11:44] states: "Do not make your souls impure with any insect that creeps upon the earth."
שלא לאכול רמש הארץ, שנאמר "ולא תטמאו את נפשותיכם, בכל השרץ הרומש על הארץ" (ויקרא יא,מד).
