The Rambam’s words

Not to perform the deeds associated with an ov, as [Leviticus 19:31] states: "Do not turn to the ovot."

שלא לעשות מעשה אוב, שנאמר "אל תפנו אל האובות" (ויקרא יט,לא).

Why · Sefer HaChinuch #255

To not do an act of ov

“It is from the roots of the commandment [that it is] because these matters are crazy things and total foolishness; and it is not fitting for the holy true people that G-d chose that they pay attention to false words.”

Who & when

“And [it] is practiced in every place and at all times by males and females.”
